El Rosario, with its administrative centre in La Esperanza, stretches along the south side of the very north of the Dorsal de Tenerife mountain range. Together with Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Laguna and Tegueste, El Rosario forms part of the so called Metropolitan Area of Tenerife, a hub of services. From the coasts of Tabaiba and Radazul, with their natural pools and facilities for water sports, to the plains of La Esperanza, where native laurisilva forests remain intact, the municipality offers visitors unique food and culture, beautiful landscapes and friendly people.
