The University’s Paraninfo Auditorium stages “Curie-Campoamor: Women Who Changed History”

For the first time, the Zálatta Theatre Company will present the play “Curie-Campoamor: Women Who Changed History”. The performance will be at the University of La Laguna’s Paraninfo Auditorium on Wednesday 8 starting at 20:30. Tickets are on sale for €8 and €5 for students of the University.

Exposaldo opens its doors with great bargains, discount prices and sales

In celebration of the 240th anniversary of its founding (1777-2017), the Royal Economic Society of Friends of the Island of Tenerife will present the First Seminars on the History of the Canary Islands starting on 6 November. There will also be an exhibition titled “The Nava y Grimón Family: From Their Beginnings to Today” starting on Thursday 9.

The TEA Argentine Film season screens “Showroom”

The TEA Tenerife Arts Space and the Consulate of the Republic of Argentina will screen “Showroom” as part of the Argentine Film season. The feature debut of Fernando Molnar, it will be shown on Wednesday 8, starting at 20:00. Admission is free of charge and tickets can be collected from the TEA ticket office in advance.

During the month of November, and especially from Monday 6 to Friday 10, the Cabildo of Tenerife is organising a new edition of the European Quality Week in Tenerife. It will include the participation of businesses, administration and social organisations with the aim of consolidating the culture of quality on the island. The historical military construction erected in front of Castillo Negro, the Casa de la Pólvora, will host a retrospective exhibition on the unforgettable César Manrique up until 30 November. The exhibition is open on working days, between 11:00 and 13:00 and between 17:00 and 20:00, and on Sundays and bank holidays from 11:00 to 14:00.

Up until 27 January, the premises of the Cristino de Vera Foundation in La Laguna will host an exhibition of paintings entitled "Joan Brotat. Melancholic Paradise", a new proposal aimed at recovering the works and commemoration of this Catalonian artist. Admission is free until capacity is reached and the exhibition is open from Monday to Friday between 11:00 and 14:00 and between 17:00 and 20:00 and on Saturdays between 10:00 and 14:00.
