The Santiago Martín Insular Sports Hall is situated in calle Mercedes, in Los Majuelos, La Laguna, and it is managed by the Council of Tenerife. It is the official headquarters of the women's volleyball superleague Club Voleibol Tenerife and Club Baloncesto Isla de Tenerife Canarias, of the Spanish Baskcetball Adecco Oro League, and Tenerife Club de Baloncesto, of the Spanish Baskcetball League EBA.
Its use is limited to the holding of official sports competitions and the organising of sporting and cultural events. As well as the sports hall, there are two office blocks where various Insular Council services are housed, such as the headquarters of the Establishment Registry, the Environmental Volunteer Office, the Environmental and Sports areas, the office of the public company Insular Management for Culture, Sports and Entertainment (IDECO), S.A., and the dependants of various Federations and Sports Clubs on the Island.
