The Strategic Framework for Island Development (MEDI for its acronym in Spanish) is the concretion of the island's policy, committed to a citizenry that demands employment opportunities, improvements in knowledge, innovation (R&D&I) and new infrastructures that favour balanced and sustainable development throughout the territory. It also seeks to facilitate the access of this citizenry to complete and updated information on all its axes and action programmes in the simplest and most direct way. This is the aim of the MEDI website and its Documentary domain, which have just come into operation.
The new MEDI website focuses on the concept of Good Governance, especially on Transparency and accountability of public policies. To this end, each action includes on the map a summary sheet with economic and public policy information, accompanied by multimedia information (images, videos, among others, which may exist to help identify the action), a link to the contractor's profile and to the news from diariodetenerife.
