If you are retired or over 65 with a disability , you can take advantage of the Holidaying on My Island program, organised by the Cabildo of Tenerife, the Provincial Association of Travel Agencies of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (APAV) and the Hotel and Accommodation Association of Tenerife, La Palma, Gomera and El Hierro (ASHOTEL). Up until the 11th of November 2013, you are afforded the possibility of enjoying leisure activities in the most idyllic areas of the island, in the highest quality hotels and apartments at prices that have been specially adapted for you.
What does it offer you?
- Healthy and alternative leisure activities and entertainment for retirees on the Island of Tenerife.
- Those within the target group become aware of the hotel offer on the island.
- It allows the elderly, who have had few opportunities for leisure over the course of their lives, to become acquainted with the Island of Tenerife and its main tourist destinations.
- Increasing awareness of the importance of tourism as an economic activity amongst the local population on the island is essential for our future.
Who it is aimed at
- Retirees resident on Tenerife or, where applicable, individuals authorised by the Cabildo of Tenerife.
- Individuals over the age of 65 with a disability who are autonomous or travelling with a companion.
Where?
Notwithstanding the fact that other bodies may become parties to the existing Agreement, the establishments and companies participating in this program are as follows:
- 3 and 4-star hotels and apartments on the Island of Tenerife that are members of ASHOTEL.
- Tour operators and travel agencies that are members of APAV.
- Consult the list of establishments and agencies in the adjoined document.
Prices and conditions
The final prices offered to the target public are as follows:
- 3-star establishments: €28 per person per day, full board. (IGIC not included).
- 4-star establishments: €35 per person per day, full board. (IGIC not included).
- Beverages, with the exception of water, are not included in the prices provided above.
- The standard package entails a minimum stay of 3 nights, full board (excluding beverages), in any of the establishments participating in the program.
