Presentation
The Insular Town hall of Tenerife, for the adapted development of its policy of museums, constitutes in 1990 the “Independent Organism of Museums and Centers” that structure like independent Local Organism of Administrative character, with own legal personality and total legal standing.
Between his aims it is the study, cataloguing, protection and conservation of the cultural patrimony of the island and, by extension, the diffusion and promotion of the culture, science and the education.
The Museums integrated in the Independent Organism of Museums and Centers are the following:
- Museum of the Nature and the Man, integrated as well by:
- Archaeological Museum of Tenerife
- Museum of Natural Sciences of Tenerife
- Canary Institute of Bioanthropology
- Museum of Anthropology of Tenerife
- Museum of History of Tenerife
- Museum of Science and the Cosmos.
