Cabildo de Tenerife

The Ordinance 176/2005 of July 20 establish the requirements for the recognition of craftsman's condition, company craftsman and teacher craftsman in the Autonomous Community of Canaries.

Craftsman.

craftsman's qualification is granted to those physical people that carry out an activity understood in the Repertoire of Occupations craftsmans of Canaries with habitual character and complete the following requirements:

• To have exercised as minimum during one year some of the occupations of the Repertoire of Occupations craftsmans of Canaries.
• To have personal and direct intervention and to know all the phases of execution of the works.
• To have a work shop with the necessary conditions to develop the occupation, with production dedicated for sale.
• To have the professional appropriate qualification.
• To reside in the island in that one requests craftsman's card. 

Company craftsman.

The qualification of company craftsman is granted to those physical or juridical people that, with habitual character and spirit of lucre, develop an activity understood in the Repertoire of Occupations craftsmans of Canaries and complete the following requirements:

• That the developed activity has preferably manual character, without it gets lost this character for the employment of auxiliary machinery and originate an individualized product.
• That the company is resided and elaborate its production in the Autonomous Community of Canaries.
• That it is given of high in the Tax of Economic Activities in their corresponding activity.
• That the responsible for the activity of the company is an craftsman in possession of craftsman's card in vigor that directs it, participate in their development and control the entirety of the productive process.

Teacher craftsman.

The monitor condition or teacher craftsman will be granted to those physical people that credit a high level of perfection or dexterity in the practice of his occupation craftsman with the purpose of that you can carry out educational works guided to the conservation of this occupation. The necessary requirements are the following ones:

• To be in possession of craftsman's card in vigor.
• To have exercised the occupation during a fifteen year-old minimum period.
• To credit such merits as academic and professional titulaciones, educational experience, prizes and obtained distinctions, formation courses, publications or any other one relative to the practice or development of their occupation.

CONVOCATION AND PROCEDURE:

The Order of November 7 2006 establishes the procedures of obtaining of craftsman's card, of the document of qualification of company craftsman and of the card of monitor craftsman or teacher craftsman, containing as annexes the instance models of each one of them.

Craftsman.

For craftsman's card, the Cabildo of Tenerife has established two annual convocations, being the term of admission of applications the periods understood among the 15/03 at the 15/04 and of the 15/09 at the 15/10.The application will show up by means of instance directed to the Insular Cabildo of Tenerife, accompanied by the specific documentation that credits the execution of the forecasts contained in the norm that establishes craftsman's condition. Received the application and proven that they meet the demanded requirements and it accompanies to the same one the mandatory documentation, you will proceed to the evaluation of the handmade qualification, the practical tests foreseen in the annex of the norm by which settles down the definition of the occupations craftsmans and the general norms for the obtaining of craftsman's qualification, what will allow to determine the grade of knowledge of the occupation, for a Tribunal designated by the Insular Cabildo of Tenerife being made. craftsman's card has a four year-old validity.

Company craftsman.

The document of qualification of company craftsman will be been able to request in any moment to the Insular Cabildo of Tenerife by means of the presentation of the normalized forms of instance, accompanied by a specific documentation as it is about physical, juridical people or associations that it credits the execution of the forecasts contained in the norm that establishes craftsman's condition.The document of qualification of company craftsman has a four year-old validity.

Teacher craftsman.

The monitor card or teacher craftsman one will be able to only request every year in the months of February and September by means of instance directed to the General competent Director as regards craft of the Government of Canaries accompanied by the specific documentation that credits the execution of the forecasts contained in the norm that establishes craftsman's condition.The monitor card or teacher craftsman will have an indefinite duration that he will be able to only decay in the event of renouncement or death of his holder or for nonfulfillment of the conditions demanded for his obtaining.
