Quantum Ensemble immerses itself in other artistic disciplines with the concert 'Arts'

Auditorio de Tenerife "Adán Martín"
Avenida Constitución, 1
Santa Cruz de Tenerife
19:30 horas

The resident chamber ensemble of the Tenerife Auditorium, Quantum Ensemble, immerses itself on Thursday 21, at 19:30 hours, in other disciplines with the concert "Arts", with pieces by Franz Schubert, Enrique Granados, Magnus Lindberg and Robert Schumann inspired by works of art belonging to painting, literature, cinema and music itself. The ticket is on sale at the price of €15.

Arts will begin with "Der Hirt auf dem Felsen" (The Shepherd on the Rock), a famous lied by Schubert for soprano, clarinet and piano whose first four verses and the last one were written by the poet Johann Ludwig Wilhelm Müller, while the fifth and sixth are by Karl August Varnhagen von Ense. It will be followed by “Goyescas”, a piano suite by Enrique Granados. After the break, the music of the Quantum Ensemble will switch over to cinema. Finnish composer Magnus Lindberg was so impressed by Buster Keaton's film “Steamboat Bill, Jr.” that in 1990 he decided to create a piece for clarinet and cello that tries to express the action and follow the plot of the film. Finally, Schumann's "Quartet with piano opus 47" will be played, which is strongly influenced by Beethoven's "String Quartet opus 127".

You can buy your ticket through the Internet.
