The Museum of Science and the Cosmos will host Friday 12, at 6:30 p.m., on the occasion of the celebration of the fifty years since the arrival of man on the Moon, a "lunar session", free of charge, which consists of the presentation of the book "The Thousand Faces of the Moon", by Eva Villaver and a talk (at 8:00 p.m.), which is entitled "From Apollo to Artemis: 50 years of the arrival to the Moon and the desire to return", by the astrophysicist and science communicator, Daniel Marín.

  • The book "The Thousand Faces of the Moon", by Eva Villaver, collects that in few territories like the Moon are there as many bitter battles between reality and fantasy. Lunatics, witches and werewolves coexist in the imaginary with lunar rocks, calendars, tides and technological feats that managed to bring a dozen privileged to see their footprints remain everlasting upon the dust of the Moon's surface. This satellite is fascinating because it can explain the gravity that binds it, although the fear and emotion that it is capable of awakening is not yet fully understood, and both forces are equally powerful.
  • In the talk "From Apollo to Artemis: 50 years of the arrival to the Moon and the desire to return", Daniel Marín will explain how on July 16, 1969, the Apollo 11 mission was launched. Three days later, it landed on the Moon and the first humans walked on the surface of another world.
