An electronic certificate is a series of data that enables the holder of the certificate to be identified in such a manner that the information that you share with other individuals or bodies will be exchanged in a secure manner, whilst enabling you to electronically sign the documents that you send, guaranteeing their integrity and origin.

You must install it on your computer’s browser or ensure that it is accessible via the browser.

What is it used for?

Through electronic certificates that are acknowledged by the Cabildo of Tenerife, you will be able to carry out certain procedures via our Web Site, ensuring your correct identification, the integrity of the data you have sent and its origin via the signature.

The process of acquiring an electronic certificate must be carried out before an officially recognised certification authority. In the previous section you will find direct links to the certification bodies where you will find comprehensive information on the manner in which the various certificates function, the process for acquiring certificates and guidelines for installing certificates on your browser.

How to identify yourself (access code)

What’s this?

A personal access code is a secret code provided by the Cabildo of Tenerife at the behest of users.

What is it used for?

Via you personal code, which enables citizen identification, you can request certain services or procedures over the Internet. If you possess a user access code and a password you can carry out the following procedures:

Who may lodge an application?

All citizens in possession of a National Identification Document (DNI) or Identification Number for Foreigners (NIE).

How and where to obtain it

You must present your DNI or NIE , to accredit your identity, in any of the Cabildo of Tenerife’s Registry or Citizen Services Offices, if you wish to obtain authorisation to camp on public wildlands or authorisation to drive along tracks.

The code will provided in person, during the request.

You can modify your code at any time by accessing the Processing via Internet Portal within the services or procedures that enable identification via a user code:

 

How do I modify it?

Once you have accessed the information on the procedure, select “Process via Internet” and introduce your user name and password in the section “Access via user and password” and you will brought to the Internet processing desktop.

On the desktop, you have to select the section “Applicant Information” to access the “Change password” option where you can implement the modification.
