Carlos Mena and The Disfonik Orchestra reinterpret the classics through jazz at the Tenerife Auditorium

Carlos Mena and The Disfonik Orchestra will arrive at the Tenerife Auditorium on Saturday 2, from 19:30 hours, to share their reinvention of classical tunes through jazz. The Chamber Hall will receive the fusion of the counter-tenor and the orchestra conducted by Jacques Beaud, which will also be accompanied by the singer Ghalmia Senouci (alto). Tickets are on sale from €15.
The music proposed by The Disfonik Orchestra is based on an intimate encounter between classical music and jazz. Some of the most beautiful pieces from the classical repertoire have been carefully selected, delicately arranged for a jazz ensemble and performed by a distinguished classical counter-tenor voice. Carlos Mena is interested in lied and contemporary repertoire, premiering several works by composers such as José María Sánchez-Verdú, Gabriel Erkoreka and Alberto Iglesias. He has also conducted the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, the City of Granada Orchestra and the Principality of Asturias Symphony Orchestra with works by Haendel, Bach and Mozart.
