Historical Heritage of the Council of Tenerife organises another of the guided tours around the Island in the framework of the programme of thematic routes "Discovering the heritage of Tenerife" with a route dedicated to "The heritage linked to the water in the south of Tenerife" that will leave from outside the Tenerife Auditorium in Santa Cruz, on Saturday 1, at 08:30 hours, and will visit Arafo, Güímar, Adeje and Guía de Isora.

In the lands of the south of the Island, where the absence of water is more notable, the population looked for ways to benefit from it. This series of constructions was forming a patrimony that is worthy of being conserved. To this end, an itinerary has been designed that begins at the mills of Chacaica, where the different use made of water as it flowed down the slope stands out, as it also happens with those preserved in Arafo. From there, we travel to Adeje, with the remains of the water mills that moved the industry of the Casa Fuerte, ending in the arquillas, in the municipality of Guía de Isora.
