The Tenerife Baroque Orchestra closes its season with the aquatic suites of ꞌBe water, my friendꞌ

The Tenerife Baroque Orchestra bid farewell to its second season with "Be water, my friend", a programme composed of aquatic suites by George Friedrich Handel and Georg Philip Telemann. It will be directed for the third time by the Valencian conductor and harpsichordist Juan de la Rubia and will take place in the Tenerife Auditorium on Thursday 23 at 19:30 hours. Tickets are on sale at the price of €15.
The collections of baroque dances composed in F, G and C major—the first two by Handel, to legitimise with music and propaganda the power of George I of Great Britain in 1717, and the third by Telemann, to celebrate the centenary of the Admiralty of Hamburg in 1723—forever bind these two great composers, whose association would benefit the opera, as it was Telemann who introduced Handel, in Halle, in the genre that would give him greater international fame from London.
