The Instituto de Estudios Canarios (IECan - the Insitute for Canary Island Studies) brings together some of its oldest exhibits in the "Historical monographs in the IECan’s library” exhibition. The display, located in the courtyard of the Casa de Ossuna, can be visited from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. until Friday 21st June free of charge.

Botany, history, literature, economics and medicine are the topics covered by the works exhibited by the IECan. The exhibit includes titles such as "A critical assessment of historian José de Viera y Clavijo, archdeacon of Fuerteventura" by José Rodríguez Moure (1913), "The Orotava Climatisation Garden" by Ramón Masferrer y Arquimbau (1911) and "Medical and pharmaceutical memorandum" by Ludovic Jammes (1896). Bibliographic pieces from before 1919 were chosen for this exhibit; pieces that were published over 100 years ago and that, in their majority, belong to the legacy funds of old IECan members: Analola Borges Fund, Alejandro Cioranescu Fund, Elias Serra Ràfols Fund and Manuela Marrero Fund.
