TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes continues on Wednesday 3, at 7:00 p.m., the film cycle parallel to the exhibition Estar aquí es todo (Being here is everything) by the Tenerife artist Gonzalo González, with the screening of A scene at the sea (Japan, 1991), by Takeshi Kitano, and Aequador (France, 2012), by Laura Huertas Millán. Admission is free until seating capacity is reached.

  • In A scene at the sea (Japan, 1991), Takeshi Kitano takes a break and moves away from his traditional films about the yakuza to create this content drama about a young deaf man called Shigeru and his girlfriend. Francisco-J. Hernández Adrián emphasises that it is a film open to multiple and playful approaches, rich in affective and aesthetic subtleties.
  • "Aequador" presents the singularly eloquent look from Colombian film artist and director Laura Huertas Millán who travels, reads, remembers and transforms the wreck swallowed up by the jungle and the river of a tropical extreme of South America, questioning the journey and the awareness of "being here", and reflecting on the value of revisiting a series of strangely futuristic and ruined enclaves.
