The Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) offers a Senegalese film series within the MusaSenegal Senegalese Culture Festival, which will show "The Revolution will not be televised" (2016), by Rama Thiaw, on Thursday 22, starting at 9.30 p.m. Admission is free until seating capacity is reached.

The documentary narrates the evolution of the citizen movement "Y'ven a marre" ("we are fed up") generated in Senegal due to the nomination of Abdoulaye Wade to be re-elected in 2011 as president after two terms. This current is headed by two rappers, Thiat and Kilifeu, who manage to get millions of Senegalese out of their homes and take to the streets for democracy. Rama Thiaw (director) records the conflicts between music and politics. It is the third part of the trilogy which tries to reflect and investigate the relationship between culture and politics in Senegal.

The exhibition is part of the MusaSenegal Senegelese Culture Festival. See all of its activities.
