TEA Tenerife Space of Arts, contemporary art centre of the Council, organises for this week guided visits to two of its exhibitions. The first of these activities, a commented tour of Europe. That Exotic Place, will take place tomorrow [Thursday 19], at 18:30 hours. The artistic director of TEA and curator of the exhibition, Gilberto González, will be in charge of guiding visitors through this exhibition that proposes a reflection on the construction of the European as a myth through Canarian art and culture.

In addition, this Saturday 21, at 11:00 a.m., there will be a new visit to Crisis, What Crisis? Cap. 3. Intimacy, subjectivity and other elective affinities, by the hand of its curator, Ramón Salas. These activities are freely accessible and, like the rest of the guided tours carried out at TEA, are accessible to deaf people as they include Spanish sign language interpreters.

Europe. That Exotic Place is an exhibition that can be visited until 20 October, featuring works by Juan Botas Ghirlanda, Óscar Domínguez, Álvaro Fariña, Manuel González Méndez, Emile LaSalle and Juan Ismael. It also includes newly produced works by María Laura Benavente, Pérez y Requena, Pablo Estévez and the group El Elástico formed by architects, and a part of the photographic album Westerdahl-Bonneaud is exhibited, which is shown to the public for the first time. The exhibition is free of charge and consists of a wide range of works from the mid-19th century to the present day.
