TEA commemorates International Women's Day with the screening of 'Las muertes chiquitas'

TEA Tenerife Arts’ Space is screening “Las muertes chiquitas” (‘Little Deaths’) by Mireia Sallarès on Sunday 8th, from 11:00 am, on the occasion of International Women's Day. Admission is free until seating capacity is reached.
The documentary "Las muertes chiquitas", by the artist Mireia Sallarès (Barcelona, 1973), uses the female orgasm as a guiding thread for the stories of various women, in order to reflect on the political condition of being a woman from the viewpoint of pleasure, armed conflict, trans-sexuality, prostitution, disease, exile, liberation theology, feminicide and the ethical commitment of art to reality. The project is the result of almost four years of work by Mireia Sallarès. It consists of interviews or conversations with over thirty women from different areas of Mexico; women of different ages, social strata, professions and beliefs.
