The Council of Tenerife's Administrative Service for Historical Heritage and the Government of the Canary Islands' General Directorate for Cultural Heritage have organised the "Third International Seminar on Tranhumance Routes and Rural Paths". It will be held on 5 September from 9:00 to 18:45 at the Museum of Nature and Mankind in Tenerife. Admission is free and registration is open until 31 August.

The aim of the seminar is to gain a deeper multidisciplinary understanding of the major transhumance routes and traditional road systems in the strategies for territorial development in Europe. It will be a continuation of the previous seminars held in Rome in 2016 and 2017. The influence of transhumance and the structuring of the traditional routes in the territory has generated a set of social, cultural and economic values that have resulted in a European cultural identity. The "Third International Seminar on Transhumance Routes and Rural Paths" is designed as a tool for the conservation, promotion and recovery of this rich common heritage within the framework of research and strategies for European territorial development.
