" The Cabildo Insular, the Council of Tenerife, has embarked upon a path designed to achieve a more transparent and innovative administration that is closer to citizens. On 10 and 11 November the Council has organised a two day conference on Transparency and Good Government. The primary objective is to create a meeting point between professionals from different Local Public Administrations, showcase the work that is currently being undertaken around Good Government and share experiences and future challenges in a new form of public management that aspires to extend across all public service departments.

The conference will look at concepts such as transparency, public innovation, accountability, participatory processes, co-creation and generation of public value. We will find out about specific projects involving professionals from widely differing fields (social services, computer services, education, equality, environment and sustainability, reusing public information, transparency etc.), individuals who provide their services in Local Administrations in the Canary Islands, which several years ago opted for a new way of working in order to contribute to the construction of a 21st century administration.

We will also welcome speakers from the Basque Country and Barcelona. They will present their experiences of participating in projects that have sought to pursue similar objectives to those that will be discussed and shared during the conference.

From 7 to 9 October 2016 the Feboda fair returns to the Tenerife Exhibition Centre. For three days, from 10:30 to 20:30, visitors to the fair can see everything currently on offer in the Canary Islands relating to weddings and celebrations.

The film, starring Peter Mullan, Agyness Deyn and Kevin Guthrie, will be shown in the original English version with Spanish subtitles. There will be two daily screenings.

On 7 and 8 October, at 21:00, the Cabildo's Tenerife Museum of History and Anthropology has organised a new edition of 'Autumn Nights'. This forms part of a series of cultural events organised to coincide with each season. This event is entitled ‘De la apostasía a la herejía’.('From apostasy to heresy'). It will utilise the patio of the Diocesan Archive, and the event will finish in the Museum's patio.
