Finca El Helecho is located in Caserío de El Bueno in the muncipality of Arico.
It is home to Tenerife's largest reserve of Canarian black pig, and has a vast selection of Canarian native breeds of livestock, including both northern and southern breeds of Tenerife goat, Canarian sheep, hair sheep, Canarian cows and chickens, Moorish donkeys and Canarian black bees.
The estate organises school visits, in cooperation with the Tenerife Rural Foundation. The aim of these visits is to disseminate knowledge about livestock farming and traditional Canarian agriculture through engaging exhibitions and workshops such as artisan cheesemaking, artisan gofio making, amongst others.
The Nature Classroom consists of a group of cave houses and accommodation for groups and organisations involved in promoting rural life and environmental workshops. The Nature Classroom is located on the highest part of the estate and offers superb views of the surrounding area.
