Health care coverage in Tenerife is universal. That means that all children, regardless of their legal status, are entitled to receive health care, especially in emergencies. An identification document or the health care card of the child's parent or legal guardian on which the name of the child appears is sufficient to access health care services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This also includes access to the 112 emergency line.
