  • Documentation services for information on asylum, human rights and immigration law

  • Awareness-raising and public opinion services, offered in the CEAR-Canarias main office
  • International cooperation for development projects in the home countries of the asylum seekers, refugees and displaced persons who arrive to the Canary Islands.
  • Multicultural education projects organised in collaboration with the Department for Education of the Government of the Canary Islands
  • Assistance for people in situations of extreme social exclusion with urgent accommodation needs

Objectives

  • Defend and protect rights to asylum and defend the rights of refugees and asylum seekers who flee for fear of persecution as a result of violations of Human Rights
  • Offer social and legal assistance to foreigners who arrive to Spain fleeing violations of human rights and offer specific assistance programs.
  • Promote peace processes, democracy, sustainable economic development and respect for Human Rights.
  • Offer on-site legal, social, financial and humanitarian aid to refugees.
