Waste and recycling workshop

The Centre for Consumer Training and Quality Promotion, run by the Centre for Quality and Responsible Consumption, specialises in delivering courses on consumption and quality.

The centre designs and organises training and informative events such as courses, seminars and workshops with the aim of promoting the protection of consumer rights and interests, and fostering an understanding of the values of rational consumption. It also works towards the ongoing improvement of quality in businesses in Tenerife.

Workshop content

  • What is waste?
  • Why it is important to reduce, reuse and recycle?
  • What is in a garbage bag?
  • Where does our waste go (waste elimination, recovery systems, recycling points, transfer centres)?
  • Coloured bins.
  • Understanding and promoting responsible consumption habits (being environmentally aware).
  • Interpreting and understanding environmental symbols on product labels.
  • Awakening positive attitudes towards recycling and reusing paper.
  • Learn about 'home' recycling.
  • Make postcards, toys and costumes with recycled or reused material.
