Gifted child program

A student is considered to require educational support when he or she can simultaneously and effectively manage and relate logical, numerical, spatial, memory, verbal and creative resources, or when he or she demonstrates an outstanding ability in one or more of these areas.

Based on this premise, the Government of the Canary Islands has implemented a program to improve the quality of education provided to students will special needs.

When a child demonstrates exceptional abilities, his or her family generally holds great expectations; however excellence will only be achieved if parents work closely with teachers and if the appropriate resources are available.
