The centres belonging to the Regional Body for Museums and Centres (OAMC) offers numerous educational initiatives and activities for students of schools and education centres on the Island or within the Autonomous Community. Basically, it relates to educational material for loaning to education centres and activities that each museum manages individually. The OAMC also organises individual and group visits to the Castillo de San Cristóbal Visitors Centre, the Centre for Documentation for the Canaries and Latin America(CEDOCAM) and the Cueva del Viento, which can be arranged through the Tenerife Museums website
Nocturnal visit based around the permanent exhibition of the Museum and the historical centre of La Laguna. Last Friday of each month.
The “Nocturnos” or short stories are held on the arrival of each season and combine literature, music and history.
Participants learn techniques and practices of the different types of artisanal bookbinding with the objective of bringing the public closer to the book as an object of knowledge.

The Castillo de San Cristóbal was, for centuries, the first defensive bastion on the coast of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It was demolished in 1928, but its subterranean remains can be collected free of charge.
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 10:00 to 18:00 and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 19:00.
Summer opening hours (July, August and September) are Monday to Sunday between 11:00 and 19:00. and is closed on Mondays.
The subterranean Cueva del Viento-Sobrado or “Cave of the Wind” complex is the longest volcanic tube in the European Union. It is found in Icod de los Vinos and and has a Visitor Centre with bilingual panels and expert guides. Special timetables for school groups.
