zonificacionThe Island Council of Tenerife has carried out an innovative work for the study and analysis of mobility on the Island. It has used information obtained from sources such as mobile terminal geolocation records or travel data from the Ten+ island transport card, as well as traffic capacity data or results obtained from household surveys of residents and face-to-face surveys of non-residents.

The processing, cleaning and analysis of this information has resulted in a set of origin-destination matrices for both private and public transport, which are presented in a series of applications through which citizens can intuitively access the data and interact with them to obtain, among others: information on trips generated and attracted by municipalities, or by macro-zones, as well as the breakdown of these by resident and non-residents, or according to the range of distances travelled.

Durante el mes de octubre se realizarán unas 5.000 encuestas telefónicas a residentes en la isla de Tenerife. Los hogares a los que se llamará se seleccionarán de forma aleatoria y los datos que facilites serán tratados de manera anónima.

¿Qué finalidad tienen las encuestas?

Estas encuestas forman parte de un trabajo para el estudio de la Movilidad en la isla de Tenerife, cuyo objetivo es el análisis de los hábitos de movilidad de los residentes y visitantes con el fin de aportar soluciones y mejoras al transporte en la Isla.

¿Cuándo realizaremos las encuestas?

A partir del 15 de octubre de 2018.

¿Cómo elegiremos a quién llamar?

Los 5.000 hogares serán seleccionados de forma aleatoria en función de las zonas y características sociodemográficas.

¿Se solicitarán datos relativos a la movilidad de los menores de edad?

Sí, no obstante los cuestionarios relativos a menores de 14 años deben de ser contestados por los adultos responsables (padres, tutores o familiar cercano). Las personas entre 14 y 17 años podrán contestar con la autorización expresa de los adultos responsables.

¿Qué información solicitaremos?

Se recogerá información de los hogares: número de personas que conviven, actividad que desempeñan, si disponen de carnet de conducir,  número de vehículos por hogar y viajes realizados el día anterior.

¿Quién te llamará?

Las encuestas serán realizadas por personal de una empresa especializada en la realización de encuestas (NEXO), que se identificará al hacer la llamada y que ha sido contratada por el Cabildo de Tenerife.

Tram

The Tenerife Tram service carries passengers around the island's metropolitan area. Connecting busses depart from and arrive to most of the tram stops on the services' two lines.

TITSA routes and services

TITSA’s website includes a service locator, indicating the routes and the stops made, marking the exact location in detail on a map of Tenerife.

La TITSA’s website offers other services, such as a trip planner that provides information on the bus that must be used to get to one municipality or another and the bus that we must use to go in a specific direction.

TITSA’s services also offer the possibility of receiving an SMS in your mobile indicating the time remaining for a bus’s arrival at the chosen stop.

En la Metropolitano’s website allows you to consult a map of the tram route on Tenerife, including timetables and the information on the frequency with which they pass.

For a period of one hour, users of both buses and trams who have validated their ticket may transfer as many times as they require.
