Vineyards can be found at altitudes of 400 to 1700 metres above sea level. Eighty per cent of the grapes harvested in this region are white grapes, principally the listán blanco variety, however malvasía and marmajuelo can also be found. Only 20% of the grapes harvested are red varieties, with the predominant varieties being negro, negramoll and tintilla.
