The University of La Laguna implemented a University for Adults program (UpM) to make university education available to the large sector of society that has traditionally not had access to higher education.
The program has a double commitment: firstly, bring new experiences into our university by having students over the age of 50 in our classrooms and in this way move towards creating an intergenerational university consistent with the idea of life-long learning. Secondly, respond to society's demand of making higher education available to a larger sector of the population.
