Environmental education

We live in a globalised over-exploited world. The world population is multiplying whilst resources remain practically unchanged. Drawing attention to this fact and educating citizens to become environmentally friendly should be our short term objective.

Although this goal has many meanings, it involves, above all, a change in mentality and philosophies of life. We need to learn that there are many small things we can do in our daily lives that may change the course of the environment. It is in the hands of the institutions, but also in ours, to allow our planet to breathe.

Environmental education is a good way to move in the right direction. Education is fundamental in conveying knowledge and raising awareness about social and environmental issues so as to bring about changes in our behaviour, to be more responsible in our consumption of goods and to work towards sustainable development.
