The Cajacanarias Foundation and La Caixa Foundation have installed the exhibition “Picasso, Guernica’s travels”, next to the maritime station, at the beginning of the Anaga avenue, which will be set up in a tent on the Francisco La Roche avenue (Vía Litoral), in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It can be visited until 31 January, free of charge, from Monday to Sunday, from 12:30 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00 hours.

This travelling exhibition, which coincides with the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Guernica, proposes a historical tour of Picasso’s work from its creation in Paris in 1937 to its permanent location at the Reina Sofia National Art Museum in 1992. Visitors will be able to discover the creative process carried out by the famous Spanish artist to create his work, as well as its meaning as an anti-war denunciation and the reasons why the work travelled all over the world for more than forty years.
