On Thursday 23rd May, at 19.00, the Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) will host an audiovisual performance of the book "El Finlandés errante” [The Wandering Finn], by journalist Carmen del Puerto. Mayte Henríquez Sánchez, deputy director of Tenerife’s History and Anthropology Museum’s Casa de Carta site, Carmen del Puerto Varela, journalist and author of the book, and Jan Peter Ekelund, son of Jan Salakari, will all participate in the event.

"The Wandering Finn" is aimed at the general public but especially at those readers who are interested in going beyond the clichés about hyperborean countries, learning more about places such as Finland and Sweden, which both feature alongside the Canary Islands in the story. This fictional tale is inspired by real events, and the telling is combined with musical, literary, artistic and cinematographic references. In this fictionalised biography, a freelance journalist whose speciality is historical topics, in particular Ancient Egypt, is commissioned to write about a "ghost". The ghost turns out to be a well-known Finnish jewellery designer, also a journalist, who got married to a young Spaniard from Alcalá, a coastal town on the island of Tenerife where scuba diving is popular, at the end of the 1950s . .
