The Museum of History and Anthropology (Casa Lercaro) is screening on Friday 17, at 18:00, as part of the celebration of International Museum Day (18 May), the documentary "Healthy Art. The intangible memory", a subsequent discussion and the opening of the activity "Letter to the craftsmen". Free entrance.

The screening of "Healthy Art. The intangible memory", by the director David Baute, will offer a unique opportunity for those attending to enter into a selection of testimonies on the peculiarities of the jobs carried out throughout a lifetime, now converted into crafts (shoemakers, hatters, cabinet makers, lace makers, potters, basket makers, bell makers, weavers, packsaddle makers or tile makers, among others). Afterwards, there will be a talk led by the Professor of Anthropology of the University of La Laguna, Marina Barreto and the Museum's team technician, Pedro Díaz Rodríguez. It will discuss the materials, tools and techniques that are combined in knowledge acquired during years of hard work in the hope that the tradition will continue. At the end the attendees will move to the courtyard of Casa Lercaro, to participate in the activity "Letter to Artisans" showing their impressions, questions or opinions on the past, present and future of the trades.
