Tenerife Water Board

Se trata de un programa cofinanciado por el Servicio Canario de Empleo que contratará a personas jóvenes menores de 30 años inscritas como demandantes de empleo o paradas de larga duración.

El Cabildo de Tenerife, a través del área de Empleo, Desarrollo Socioeconómico y Acción Exterior, que dirige la consejera Carmen Luz Baso, ha habilitado 210 puestos de trabajo relacionados con la lucha contra el cambio climático y la transición ecológica justa, con una duración máxima de 9 meses en la institución insular, en el marco del proyecto PETE Tenerife 2021, una iniciativa cofinanciada por el Plan Integral de Empleo de Canarias (PIEC).

Este proyecto tiene un presupuesto de 3.789.374,39 euros, de los cuales 3.454.500,33 son aportados por el Servicio Canario de Empleo y 334.874,06 corresponden al Cabildo de Tenerife.

El objetivo de este plan es el de mejorar la empleabilidad y en consecuencia la inserción laboral de personas jóvenes desempleadas menores de 30 años y que estén inscritas como demandantes de empleo y también de aquellas que sean Paradas de Larga Duración (PLD), priorizando la participación de mujeres y personas con discapacidad.

En este proyecto las personas contratadas están adquiriendo una experiencia profesional retribuida, y trabajan en obras y servicios de interés general y social, en el caso del Cabildo concretamente en las áreas de Gestión del Medio Natural y Seguridad, Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca, Desarrollo sostenible y Lucha contra el Cambio Climático y Carreteras, Movilidad, Innovación y Cultura.

El PETE, por sus siglas Proyecto de Empleo de Transición Ecológica, para su ejecución se han contratado los siguientes perfiles: quince (15) técnicos superiores (biólogos, agrónomos, ingenieros industriales, periodistas…), nueve (9) técnicos medios (Ingenieros Técnicos Industriales, Arquitectos Técnicos, Ingenieros Técnicos de Obras Públicas…), seis (6) albañiles, diecinueve (19) capataces (forestales, agrícolas, de construcción…), seis (6) auxiliares administrativos, cuatro (4) vigilantes, once (11) conductores, ciento veintiocho (128) peones (forestales, agrícolas, de obras públicas…) doce (12) técnicos especialistas (diseñadores gráficos, en educación y control ambiental y en proyectos de obra civil). Entre las labores en las que estas personas se dedican, están, entre otras, las de gestión de los espacios naturales protegidos y la Red Natura 2000 y, en la divulgación de sus valores entre la sociedad de la isla, realizarán actividades que directamente relacionadas con la gestión de residuos, gestión de aguas, protección y mantenimiento de zonas naturales y control de la energía, así como prevención de catástrofes ecológicas y conservación de la biodiversidad.

The Training, Employment and Business Development Foundation (FIDEDE) organises a range of activities that include courses, programmes and activities related to training, generating employment and integrating both workers and the unemployed into the job market, in addition to promoting entrepreneurship and the social economy.

Programmes

  • PI-CA Project .- designed to help the unemployed integrate into society and the job market through an adapted accompaniment system.
  • Conformac Project .- designed to improve and strengthen the competitiveness of businesses run by the self-employed in the Canary Islands, the Azores, Madeira and the Cape Verde Islands.
  • Emprende con Color (“Do Business in Colour”) Project .- designed to support, guide, inform, mentor and train entrepreneurs that have developed a business project and are seeking to set it up, as well as those who have already started their business activity.

    FIFEDE also offers companies, consultancies and other institutions looking to begin the selection process the opportunity to use its services to select the candidates that best fit their profile, free of charge.
    This new initiative and the other employment-related activities carried out by the Foundation since its creation, such as the New Life and Equal programmes, aim to help achieve full employment in the Canary Islands and improve the current prospects and motivation of today’s unemployed citizens.
