Pinoleris

What is it?

Pinoleris Nature Reserve is a difficult-to-reach area characterised by high, relatively steep slopes. It is located in northern Tenerife on the eastern edge of Valle de La Orotava and lies entirely within the Las Lagunetas Protected Landscape. Its value lies chiefly in the large numbers of endangered endemic species that can be found there, along with significant examples of Canary Island pine forests, rock-growing plants (which grow on rocks in the almost total absence of soil), evergreen forests and populations of myrica faya and tree heath.

Getting there

As the legislation pertaining to the conservation of protected natural areas prohibits human entry to nature reserves for non-scientific purposes, information on how to access the park cannot be provided.
