The Museums of Tenerife organise children's workshops during this Carnival

Museums of Tenerife organises on 6, 7 and 8 March, coinciding with the celebration of the Carnival festivities, children's workshops for children between the ages of 4 and 12. The Museum of Nature and Archaeology is also holding these workshops on the 4th of the present month. The schedule will be from 09:00 to 14:00 hours, although there is the possibility of staying from 07:30 to 09:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00. The price per day is 15 euros and includes breakfast.

The TEA brings together twenty artists from the Canary Islands in the show “Crisis? What Crisis? Chapter 2”

The TEA Tenerife Arts Space hosts the exhibition “Crisis? What Crisis? Chapter 2. Drawings (and other anthropological resources)”, a collection concentrated on drawing and its relevance to the careers of twenty Canary Islands artists born after 1975. The show can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 20:00, until 3 June.

The Museum of Science and the Cosmos screens the documentary “Seasons” as part of CosmoCine

On Thursday 8, the Museum of Science and the Cosmos presents a new session of ‘CosmoCine. Science and Biodiversity’. This activity combines the best cinema with debates led by different personalities linked to the material. On this occasion, there will be a screening at 20:00 of the documentary “Seasons” by directors Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud (2015, France). The guest for the talk following the screening will be the doctor of Biological Sciences and university specialist in environmental analysis and education, Eugenia Martín Osorio. Admission is free.

The Tenerife Noir cinema forum continues at the TEA with “Murder on the Orient Express”

The TEA Tenerife Arts Space hosts the first Tenerife Noir cinema forum. On Thursday 8 at 20:00, there will be a screening of Sidney Lumet’s “Murder on the Orient Express”(1974) and the cinema forum will feature the participation of María del Pino Montesdeoca and Sofía Ramos. Admission is free until capacity is reached and tickets can be collected at the TEA ticket office.

Canarian painter Juan Clemente presents his work “Serenidad” at the Old Convent of Santo Domingo from Monday to Friday, 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 20:00, and Saturdays 11:00 to 14:00 until 31 March.

The Espacio Bronzo art gallery presents the show “Hola chicos”, with work by Polish sculptor Anna Rozycka. It will remain open until 16 March, Mondays to Fridays, from 11:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 20:00 and on Saturdays from 11:00 to 13:00.

The TEA exhibit “Contra la piel” opens the new season of Area 60

The TEA Tenerife Arts Space presents “Contra la piel” (“Against the Skin”), the new exhibition of Area 60, a support programme helping to integrate young artists and curators into the professional world. The show is curated by Semíramis González (Gijón, 1988) and exhibits creations by artists Cristóbal Tabares, Valle Galera, Rubén H. Bermúdez and Gabriela Bettini. It is open until 6 May. Admission is free.

The Museum of Nature presents the world’s largest exhibition of mummies and funerary items

The Museum of Nature and Mankind will host the exhibition “Athanatos. Immortal. Death and Immortality in Past Populations” from 20 December to 4 June from 9:00 to 21:00. It will offer a look at the funeral rites of the Guanches as well as other cultures and will include an extraordinary World Congress on Mummy Studies to be held in May.
