The Commission for Women of the Canary Islands Federation of Municipalities (FECAM) meets on a regular basis to address matters related to equal opportunities between women and men, non-discrimination due to gender in all municipal activities and plans and the application of gender mainstreaming in municipal policy. It comprises a president, vice-president and seven members, who represent the various town halls of the Canary Islands.
