About the Consortium
The Consortium is a supra-municipal association with its own legal personality created to pursue its aims independently of the constituent government bodies. It comprises the Council of Tenerife, the Regional Government of the Canary Islands and all of the town halls on the island with the exception of Garachico, La Matanza and La Victoria.
Functions
The Consortium is responsible for providing fire fighting, prevention and rescue services.
Responsibilities
Prevention and fighting of fires as well as the provision of rescue services for the entire island.
Aims and Actions
Actively work together with the society in different areas, such as raising awareness of prevention strategies and helping prevent, where possible, hazardous situations from arising.
